Generally, our translators are quite fast in the translation of texts. However, we cannot give you precise information on how long the translation will take until we have reviewed the document that needs to be translated.
On average, a professional translator can translate around 2,000 words per day.
Please note that the translation period depends on different factors, such as the translator’s free capacity or the area of expertise. Some projects need more time, as the translator has to read up on and research for the topic.
For certified translations, particularly the formatting takes up quite some time, as those translations are edited to look similar to the original document.
Please send us your document beforehand, we are happy to give you further information on the translation period after viewing it.

We would suggest, however, that you send us the text or document beforehand via email, chat or WhatsApp. We have to view the documents carefully to be able to assess the time and work needed for the translation and to make you an individual, but non-binding offer.
This will, furthermore, not only save you some time, but also the trip down to our office building.
To make you a fair offer, we have to view the documents that need to be translated. Only after, we are able to tell you the exact price and time needed for the translation. Sending us the documents saves you the time and effort to personally stop by at our office.
Typically, we will issue the translation in the same format we received the original text in.
Certified translations are usually sent by registered letter if the customer is not able to pick it up due to a too far distance or other appointments made.

You will receive your translation as a Word file, if no other requirement was discussed beforehand. We are, however, also more than happy to send you the translation as a PDF or translate directly in CMS systems or in the source code.
If you need another file format, please let us know. We will find a solution.
Proofreading means correcting and checking a text for grammatical, typographical or orthographical mistakes and errors. Before finishing a text, for example an article or a story, we will check:
- The grammar
- The spelling
- The punctuation
- The hyphenation
- The typography
Besides examining the grammar, spelling and punctuation, editors look even further. They will make changes and suggestions that will improve the overall writing quality of the text. In editing, the focus lies on the readability, the expression and the general writing style. This means that for example quite abstruse sentences or chapters will be re-written for a better understanding, word repetitions will be eliminated and missing context will be added.
Please do not hesitate to contact us in our chat or via email or WhatsApp if you have any questions regarding this topic.
A certified translation is issued with a declaration of a certified translator who confirms the true and accurate representation of the translation compared to the original document.
You will probably need certified translations when you submit documents such as birth and marriage certificates or diplomas to authorities and agencies in other countries.
Yes, we are also qualified to certify documents that have already been translated. But, please be aware that is also associated with a lot of time and effort as we have to compare the already existing translation with the original document.
As this also might be quite expensive, we would suggest to leave the whole matter from the translation to the certification to us entirely.
No, we do not. The certification of a document’s authenticity can only be issued by a notary.
The certification of a translation means that the certified translator confirms the true and accurate representation of the original document.
Some foreign authorities issue their certificates and documents in two or more languages. Next to the official language of the country, there is often times an English translation as well, and in the case of countries with several official languages (such as Canada with English and French), the document will be issued in all these languages.
Generally, assigning one translator for one of the languages is enough. The certified translation will also be attached with a declaration stating the languages in the document.
If you are unsure of what to do, please get in contact with the agency or authority that requires the certified translation.
Yes, certified translations can be submitted and are generally admitted by all public institutions in Germany, for example in court, in schools, at authorities or the police.
Translating means the written reproduction of a text from one language into another. Interpreters translate the spoken word in real time. They are generally used at events where people of different countries and cultures meet who do not speak the same language.
We are usually needed at conferences and meetings, business negotiations, speeches or at ceremonial and official occasions such as weddings.
A court interpreter is used for the translating the spoken word in front of court. This is necessary if a party involved does not understand the language spoken in court.
Not every interpreter can automatically work as a court interpreter. An interpreter has to prove their qualification and aptitude and apply to be sworn in by a president of the regional court. They have to take an oath stating that they will interpret and translate accurately and truthfully.
Our team also consists of sworn interpreters (and translators), who will help you in your cause.
There is no fixed fee or price for an interpreter. Usually, this is a matter of negotiation and depends on the individual project, subject and difficulty.
As a guideline, we use the information from the JVEG, the German Law on Payment and Compensation by Judiciary Authorities. This stipulates an hourly fee of 70€ (net) for consecutive interpreting, and 75€ (net) for simultaneous interpreting.
